Salt Bae takes a break after sprinkling salt over £1,500 on steaks to post bizarre video of him feeding pigeons in a park

The infamous Salt Bae takes the time to sprinkle salt on its very expensive steaks to feed the wildlife of Hyde Park.

Nusret Gökçe, aka Salt Bae, made headlines earlier this month when a customer at his Knightbridge restaurant received a £37,000 bill.

And it seems the constant media attention prompted him to take a break from the restaurant — and hang out at his local park.

In a bizarre Instagram video he posted yesterday to his nearly 40 million followers, he could be seen feeding a squirrel to the sound of Early Morning Dreams by singer Kadebostany.

He was then gobbled up by dozens of pigeons in what many eagle-eyed fans believe to be Hyde Park.

Wearing what looks like a black trash bag and his signature black sunglasses alongside shorts and knee-length white socks, he then headed to a children’s play park where he performed some number of pull-ups on one of the devices.

In what was the end of an incredibly bizarre 60-second clip, Salt Bae walked in slow motion as autumn leaves fell on him, before he was filmed walking back into his restaurant.

Salt Bae shot to fame in 2017 when an internet meme of him sprinkling salt went viral around the world.

Now he has restaurants in Turkey, Greece, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia – as well as here in London.

Despite some negative media attention recently, including when the restaurant was accused of deleting its negative TripAdvisor reviews, that hasn’t stopped celebrities David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from visiting.

Even TV personality Gemma Collins has been caught spending hundreds of pounds at the fancy steak house.

The post racked up over 1.6 million views and nearly 2,000 comments in less than 24 hours.
