Philly’s Steaks & Company at The Beacon closes
CASPER, Wyo. — Philly’s Steak & Company, the restaurant service of the Beacon Club, will close. This fast food restaurant will close the week of October 25 and will officially close on the 29th. That week it will be open while supplies last.
The restaurant is closing after six years of serving the Beacon Club. It was led by Crystal Corson, and she leaves him with a heavy heart.
Corson says, “I’ve been with The Beacon since 2007 when it reopened, and have been running the kitchen since July 2015.”
When asked why she was closing, the famous head cook replied that it was because she had taken another job at the prison. “I wanted to give notice to my clients; they are like family and i would do anything for them.
Corson says: “After six years in the kitchen and fourteen years at the Beacon Club, it’s time to say goodbye. … I would like to thank all of my customers, friends, family and employees who have helped me over the past six years. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
According to Beacon Club General Manager Carrie DePaemelere, The Beacon will take over the restaurant. They’ll have it running within a week of leaving Philly’s Steak & Company.
Corson says she hopes they can reopen in another location or have a food truck in the future. In the meantime, she says to come to The Beacon to eat or just to say goodbye.
