Heart-shaped steaks from Bismarck for Valentine’s Day?

What’s the old saying? “The best way to reach a man’s heart is through his stomach?” ” Something like that. I had read something on the internet about “heart-shaped steaks” as the perfect Valentine’s Day dinner for couples who want to skip the hassle of trying to find a restaurant for dinner and just eat at home .

So, I ventured out Saturday night to seek out this Valentine’s Day dinner “unicorn” of freshly cut flesh. I was a bit surprised to find it at my very first stop. Cash Wise Foods on Bismarck Expressway actually had what I was looking for. Not a “heart-shaped” box or pizza, but a “heart-shaped” piece of beef. In fact, one of my favorite cuts of ribeye. It’ll cost you around $25, but the size seems perfect for two.

If steak isn’t your thing, they even have “heart shaped” salmon. I opted for the beef and I hope Mrs. will like it. I picked it all out and maybe a glass of wine will bring it all together.

I know it seems like women are always wondering what to get their man for Valentine’s Day? I hear a lot of complaints. Well, I can tell you as a guy, that would be a winner for just about any guy. Again, you don’t have to wait in line at a restaurant, waste time waiting in line to be seated, and let alone cost.

Heart shaped steak dinner at home, a bottle of wine, maybe watch The Bachelor on TV and who knows what else? It looks like the perfect Valentine’s Day on a Monday.
