Greenwich’s new restaurant cited for its fresh dishes

A new restaurant in Fairfield County that offers a wide selection of seafood dishes is receiving praise from online critics.

Canoe began serving customers in Greenwich in November. The restaurant is located at 280 Railroad Ave.

The owners describe the menu as Modern American cuisine that draws inspiration from Asian and Latin American cuisine.

The menu has a wide selection of dishes, including yellowfin tuna tacos, mushroom flatbreads with truffle oil, lobster rolls, and organic salmon.

Customers shouted out some specific dishes the restaurant serves, including some of the restaurant’s desserts.

“We enjoyed the grilled octopus, the squid ink pasta (with lobster and truffle champagne butter), the Chilean sea bass and the bourbon street cocktail,” said Nicole B., of West Harrison, New York. , in a Yelp review. “For dessert, the Heavenly Monkey Bread is a must and the carrot cake was not Lloyd’s, but very good. It’s worth mentioning that they offer small and large options for starters; I wish more many places do.”

Online reviews also praised the freshness of the seafood dishes. Read more about the menu here.

“Very good seafood and menu,” David P., from Manhattan, said in a Yelp review. “I had a tuna tartar and a lobster roll, all very fresh. No mayonnaise on the lobster roll, which shows confidence in freshness. My wife had the salmon which was also very fresh. I recommend it quickly.”
