Meat-loving Glasgow residents can eat a free steak this weekend at Castle-X, a new restaurant in Finnieston.
The steak restaurant is offering a free Chateaubriand steak for two to all customers on a first-come, first-served basis before they open on Tuesday, December 8.
Lucky diners can score the free steak from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on December 4 and 5.
No reservations are required, but customers have been advised that there will be queues from 11.30am on both days.
Bettors should know in advance that the steak will be free, but other dishes, sides and drinks are not.
The restaurant is run by the team behind Six by Nico restaurants located in Glasgow’s West End and seven other locations in the UK and Ireland.
The Chateaubriand is a large filet mignon cut in the center.
Chateau-X says their cheaters are “packed with flavor” due to the grass-fed diet fed to a mix of Hereford, Aberdeen Angus, Limousin and other breeds.
Chateaubriand for two normally costs £30.
Sides include beef dripping rooster crisps, roasted bone marrow and oxtail with a parsley crust and macaroni and cheese croquettes.
Diners will be served complimentary soft serve ice cream for dessert as part of the regular menu.
