Charleys Philly Steaks to celebrate National Cheesesteak Day with free cheesesteaks

Wednesday March 24 marks National Cheesesteak Day, and Charleys Philly Steaks will celebrate its signature menu item with social media giveaways, in-store festivities, and more. With the holidays closely following the brand’s 35and Anniversary, it’s hard not to reflect more on Charleys legacy and the main menu item that made it a hit.

Beginning with a unique location near the Ohio State University campus, Charleys now has over 600 stores, including international restaurants. Brian Hipsher, director of marketing at Charleys Philly Steaks, attributes the brand’s success to the cheesesteak customizations available at Charleys. “We sell over 40 million cheesesteaks a year,” says Hipsher. “Our cheesesteaks are stuffed with USDA prime steak, melted provolone cheese, grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms on a grilled hoagie roll with the ability to customize it exactly how you like it. Charleys was one of the first innovators to up the ante on the classic Philly Steak, offering a variety of options including buffalo, teriyaki and other specialty cheesesteaks.

Charleys Philly Steaks will kick off the celebrations with contests on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where guests can win free cheesesteaks. The brand will also offer special promotions around delivery, which will be announced on social networks. Charleys Rewards members can expect to win an exclusive offer when they order a cheesesteak from Charleys on March 24and with the app.
