| Enjoyed Systematic Theology: Volume 1: The Triune God: Triune God Vol 1 I'd also highly recommend Song of Songs (Interpretation: A Bible Commentary for Teaching & Preaching) which is stunning, and his On Thinking the Human: Resolutions of Difficult Notions . |

I read Jenson whilst at college and found him immensely immensely difficult. You get some astounding insights every once in a while but for the amount of energy expended it felt more like walking through the sahara to get a pint of water.
ReplyDeleteHow much of him do you read at a time?
How long did it take you to read vol 1 of ST?

I read through volume one in a week - ploughing through seemed better. I agree some of it is just hard work but some of it is beautiful. I find that I either read one paragraph repeatedly or push through a whole chapter, not worrying if there are bits that don't yet make sense!
ReplyDeleteA couple of chapters in to volume 2 so far, very recappy on the end of Vol 1 but a few gems along the way.
