(I'm guessing it is one of the same Jensens that Driscoll mentions, but one of my favorite sermons is by Rev. Philip D. Jensen called "The God-Forsaken God".
Yeah it's a reference to Philip and Peter Jensen. Not sure I've heard any of either, but I apprecaited Peter's excellent book The Revelation of God (except for the rather anti-charismatic last chapter...)
We chatted with some of our AFES brothers about Syndey Anglicans and anti-charismaticism at World Assembly. It seemed they didn't know of any charismaticism other than Hillsong and its influence, which in their experience verges on health&wealth. The reformed charis thing is very recent, after all, and not yet v widespread.
Yeh, and for that reason I'm not all that "mad" at Jensen. Though his examples in the book are mostly David Watson and Wayne Grudem.
I get the impression that definition of charismatic is the USA norm too - hence Driscoll's "white suit" avoidance, and Terry Virgo says he doesn't really use the term in the US either.
