My very good friend Richard and his wife Sally had their first child today, meet Libby (7lb 10oz). Speaking to Rich on the phone this evening I was struck by him telling me that watching childbirth strengthened his conviction about how serious sin is to bring such pain (Gen 3:16). And sobered by that he's also able to be thankful for God's gift to them. I look forward to seeing him bring Libby up in the training and instruction of the Lord (Eph 6:4), confident that he'll teach her to delight in grace and love the Lord Jesus.Rich, Psalm 90 is my prayer for you and your family.
