Yeah, I was all up for the UK becoming the new mediterrean... but I guess all that melted polar ice was gonna have to go somewhere... dumping it on Britain isn't the option I would have picked!
Climate warmer -> more moisture in the atmosphere from evaporation -> precipitates over the places it always did, most noticeably costal regions. i.e. we get more rain.
