  1. Dave, is this Goldsworthy book the same one that's scheduled to be released in the U.S. in March 2007? I think the U.S. title is Gospel-Hermeneutics, along with a lengthy subtitle.

    Is this book available right now out there in the UK/Australia?

  2. Must be the same one - it seems to be his Moore College hermeneutics course in book form. Looks like it'll be a really important book. Still waiting for IVP to send me my copy!

  3. Have you read these books Dave? Interesting to see what the 2 about experiencing the spirit and signs and wonders have to say. Any chance of a synopsis?

  4. I've read A Clear And Present Word. It's pretty good stuff. Great for seeing what we do and don't mean by clarity. Emphasising the need for hard work on the text and the Spirit's role in illuminating it. It's also full of good stuff on the role of hermeneutics and engaging with postmodern readings of Scripture. At places it feels like a book on the authority of Scripture but they are relatively crossover doctrines so that's understandable. A heavy read but worth it. (And yes this book has clarity!)

  6. Phil, I'm still waiting for my copies of the Spirit ones. Not sure what angles they take - though I suspect I'm not going to see eye to eye with the Signs&Wonders one (which I suspect may be rather negative about charismatics)

    (I think...) Graham Beynon who wrote the Experiencing the Spirit one was converted at St Saviours, Guildford... now a church planter in Leicester.
